For the sake of my peace of mind, could you tell me how did you figure the sequence out? Where was the clue?

yeah where the hell is 25412 I know it's from the painting, I want an explanation of how that make sense? which to hit? not gonna do it without understanding, plz someone help.

25412 to me is hit the 4th first since it's number 1
the right and the left one both number 2
no number 3
middle is number 4
second from left is number 5
that the only thing that make sense, I watch the videos but nothing actually explain it. it like everyone just copied what other people does, and I want to understand it before.

No worries, so it's a little obtuse but not too bad.

The painting shows 5 moons arranged in the style of the bells from the puzzle (telling you to pay attention to it for the solution). The actual solution is then shown in the moons' reflection in the water but you'll see that the reflection doesn't match up to the sky. This is the hint that you're looking at the answer.

There are five lines in the water, whichever line a moon sits on indicates which bell you need to hit first. So the bells are "numbered" 1 to 5 from left to right, the first reflection in the water has a moon sitting on the second line, so it's the second bell you need to hit.

Hopefully I did an okay job explaining it.

thanks. I get that part, but I still don't get it, how the middle one isn't to get hit? and if the second bell from left is number 5 how it got be the first to hit?

So the leftmost bell is "1", then the second to left bell is "2", and so on. You don't hit the middle bell (3) because you'll notice that there's no moon on the third line in the painting, so you don't hit the third bell. The second to left bell is "2" not "5" and it is the first to get hit because in the painting the first reflection (looking from left to right) is on the second of the five lines.

still didn't hit home, sorry.
the middle bell still got a reflection on the second line from top, what is the connection of no reflection on the third line with the middle one?
if the second bell reflection is on top, then it should be like 41254 how this lead to the solution?

Ah I see your confusion. You are getting confused because you're trying to map the moons in the sky to their reflections as part of the puzzle, but this is not what you should do. The only purpose for the moons in the sky is to make you notice the painting because they are in the same configuration as the bells for the puzzle. Once you recognize that the painting has the solution, pay no more attention to the moons in the sky.

Now, look at the reflections in the water, this is the only part of the painting that contains the solution. The number of moons shown in the reflection is how many bells you have to hit. There are five moons in the reflection so you'll need to hit the bells five times. The bell you need to hit is indicated by which line the reflection is sitting on, the second line, means the second bell. You then go to the next reflection...it's sitting on the fifth line, so you hit the fifth bell.

This is how you'd figure out the puzzle.

I've been trying to figure this out more than 5 hours now still can't, I beat the twins then Ji and still can't figure this out.
I know it's the reflection. but I can't understand it.

now, in the painting, there're the following
1* moons in the sky
2* reflection on water
3* line on water.

the moon in the sky refer to the bells, right?
the reflection, what does it refer to?
the lines, isn't this the order on which we do hit the bells? does it go from top or from bellow? what does it refer to?

sorry for all the trouble I'm making, but I can't sleep or go to the next thing without figuring this out.
plump pickle Jun 13, 2024 @ 12:15am
It goes from bottom to top, see what I posted earlier.

I: 2nd bell
II: 5th bell
III: 4th bell
IV: 1st bell
V: 2nd bell again

The reflection and the lines in the reflection show you what order to hit the bells in; the first bell you want to hit is the second bell, because it sits on the second line. Bells are numbered from left to right in the bell puzzle room; the lines are counted going from bottom to top. The bottom line is "1" and the next line up is "2".

At this point you might just be tired because the solutions we've written are very obvious. If you call it a night and come back to it later I'm sure the solution will jump out at you because you've had time to process, just like a boss fight.

There are 5 moons in the sky, from left to right, moons 1,2,3,4,5 and in the bell room there are in the same exact way from left to right, bells 1,2,3,4,5. The lines in the water represent the bells, from the bottom up, lines 1,2,3,4,5 (line 1 = bell 1, line 2 = bell 2...). The reflections are under each moon in the water and tell you which bell to hit based on which line it is on.

the order in which you hit the bells is left to right, so this means moon 1 and its reflection tells you which bell to hit first, moon 2 and its reflection tells you the second, moon 3 and its reflection tells you the third and so on.

Moon 1, the left most one, its reflection in the water is on the line 2 so you hit bell 2 first, moon 2's reflection is on the line 5 so hit bell 5 second. we can see that theres no reflections on line 3 and 2 reflections on line 2 thats why we dont hit bell 3 at all and we hit bell 2 twice.
Maximilion13 Jun 13, 2024 @ 7:59am
thanks everyone, I think I finally get it. it goes as the following

the lines represent the bells, it's not the moon and the moons does have nothing to do with the bells. moons are set from left to right from 1 to 5 and that's what led to confusing, it has nothing to do with anything.

line are going from bottom to top, bells from left to right
line #5 refer to the 5th bell
line #4 refer to the 4th bell
line #3 refer to the 3rd bell
line #2 refer to the 2nd bell
line #1 refer to the 1st bell

completely ignore the reflection or the idea of the moons reflecting on the water this will only lead to confusing.

now from the line and bells info above, we will just go from left to the right to tell the order of which bell to hit

the first moon on the water from left is on the second line, which means we hit the second bell 1st.
the second moon on the water from left is on the 5th line, so we hit the fifth bell 2nd.
third moon on water is on 4th line, we hit the forth bell 3rd
the forth moon on the water is on the 1st line, so we hit the first bell 4th
the fifth moon on the water is on the 2nd line, so we hit the second bell 5th.

thanks everyone, and sorry it took me forever to get the picture.
I was referring the moons to be the bells since it's the same order, and thought reflection is what gives the order of which to hit. I dunno, it was so much trouble for me
