Lady Ethereal's 3rd Phase Attack
hey, fighting Lady Eth right now and I'm struggling with one of her attacks in the 3rd phase, the one where she goes up in the air, charges up a big orb of energy, has 2 of the clones come in and slash from both sides, then slams the orb down on you. it's a run killer for me and I can't figure out how to get past it for the life of me. any tips?

Took me some tries too, but best way I found was tapping the jump (so you can parry both clones regardless of direction) then dash out of harms way.

Most important part is timing the dodge.

If you do it right you also have time to hit her while falling for some swings

Yeah that attack is super intimidating but once you learn it because it's the most reliable damage window in the phase

Man I never figured out how to hit her when she does that attack, I just figured out how to dodge it. xD

easiest is probably to only move in 1 direction spam parry. dodge in the last second in the same direction your moving. and when you fall through the floor you can actually use your QI attack when she is in the air for a guaranted hit. can also be comboed with a arrow if your fast enough.

Wait for the two adds to come out then jump, parry first add, parry second, and then your dodge will line up perfectly to avoid it

Heres my guide I wrote, it helped me but idk if it'll help you;

lady ethereal phases:
Phase 1-2:
Projectile phase:
no need for unbounded, focus on movement

Melee phase
parry when needed, dodge when holding parry, unbounded counter when nothing

Phase 3:
enemies are too quick, unbounded counter isn't feasible here
Distract and slash horizontal:
use tai chi kick to counter
Distract and slash orb attack:
dash, parry then dash to avoid the ORB! this is the only way I know of that will give you the time gap needed to execute the dodge

I'm not sure if i got it right, but if you jump high enough after parrying the clones' attacks, and then dodge, you might avoid getting hit by that attack you're talking about. The Lady Ethereal fight is a real pain, that's true.

The way I handled that was to jump before the two adds attack, Tai chi kick both attacks for added height, air dodge the slam, then hit her with a full charge talisman for damage with the Qi built up during the initial rush before the big attack.

Lady Ethereal seems very much a talisman focused fight built around building up full charges and letting loose for major damage.

Run to the side, jump, air-parry the three ghosts. You now have the opening to hit lady E with a talisman or bow.
