How do I obtain the mutant killing power?

I've killed Ji and fu--xi (this boss name gets censored by Steam for some reason), nothing is marked on my map to investigate and i've explored everything that I think is possible without this power.

What am I missing to get the mutant killing power?

Hoping that a bug related to the Ji boss fight that I posted in another thread isn't related.

There should be a collectable pink syringe past their boss arena close to where you get their Sol Key.

If you have Ji hair and twins blood sample, go back to Ruyi and he will create antiserum for mutation

Have you tried talking to abacus after beating them?

If these npcs are the ones in the pavilion, then yes, I've exhausted all of their dialogues.

There is nothing that is physically possible to obtain in Ji or fu--xi's boss rooms.

fu--xi's room is 1/2 collected (probably a drop from the eye that spawns on the boss corpse, but I need the mutant kill power) and missing everything in Ji's room, but can't interact with anything in there.

Deep in Fu xi's room (the room on the left of where you get the seal) there should be another collectible -- the blood sample.
For Ji's hair sample, do you already have that item in the inventory? It should be collected when you beat Ji.

I don't have Ji's hair sample. I guess it is bugged then.

I don't see an item in my inventory that is called a blood sample either. I have the seals from Ji, Fu Xi and Nuwa :/

the seal you get automaticly, the items you need to manually loot. blood sample left room from nuwa bossroom. theres a chest with it. and the hair is on the corpse of ji. and in the inventory its a key item and there are different tabs in the item inventory.

and then bring it in the hub and speak to abacus and then you get the talisman bomb from kuafu (or whatever his name is) maybe resting helps

I assume you died in the same time as you defeated Ji. Try contacting support.

They did a recent patch which put Ji's corpse there with his hair that I could now loot. I still wasn't given the Steam achievement for killing him though, but it seems I can advance through the game again now.

mutant buster isn't a Jade; once you obtain it, you will automatically have this ability permanently

It is a bug. I got Jis hair first, then beat fuxi, talked to Abacus and Kaufu, got the mutant buster thing, but it’s no longer in my inventory. Very frustrating

It was a bug when op posted it because they didn't get to collect Ji's hair. It's NOT a bug right now. There was never an item to begin with. You just didn't read/pay attention to the dialogue where Abacus tells you how to use the power... Just use a charm to finish the enemy. Done.
