The game isn't perfect, it has some slow, story areas that can be repetitive if you want to replay the game (the prison, Lady Ethereal's area) and the metroidvania system is completely lineal, also removing the replay aspect of exploring different routes or stuff. But the combat is an aspect that they nailed so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard.
Nine Sols is the most difficult game I have ever played, and I finished all soulsborne titles.
This game is challenging, but fair. The combat is fluid and very responsive. I had many problems, Lady Ethereal fight was a nightmare! But I blame my lack of skill and poor reflexes. The parry system is amazing.
