The game is a masterpiece.
It could use a bit more feedback for sure, for now the only tell is her staying a bit longer than her clones.
In case someone reads this: just Qi Blast through her, for two reasons: 1. with all the parrying you have all the energy in the world, it's not really wasted if it was a clone 2. Talismans freeze her, unlike sword attacks, letting you charge a full Qi Blast AND loose an arrow if you're quick.
I used the Water Blast for most of the game, but I like the standard Qi Blast a lot more for this fight. You have all the time in the world once she's marked by a Talisman and all the energy you want, so the reduced Water Flow damage isn't worth it, and the Full Control stance is a trap imho because there is no feedback for when it's fully charged, often letting her escape before you detonate.
Other than that, I think a MAJOR trick that makes the fight a thousand times easier is to always be in the air. Not only does it allow you to parry in every direction (a must in this fight), but it also sets you up perfectly for Tai-chi kicking the Crimsons attacks and bouncing off the purple balls.
Actually I think Full control Talisman is far superior and after some training you can see and feel when it is fully charged. For Lady Ethereal is is also the best talisman in my opinion, because it stuns her for 3 seconds, so you have enough time to charge all 5 Qi energy and cause explosion which deals a lot of damage.
Also after putting talisman on her, all her clones dissapear, so you dont have to be afraid of getting damaged. If she will teleport with talisman she will still receive damage if you will start explosion.
Do you have to survive a particular amount of time in the fight before you can fight back? Like she has to spirit bomb you 3 or 4 times before you can actually start attacking her again?
You dodge the spirit bomb and after she breaks the floor you can tag her midair with a talisman, which will allow you to get some good hits in. Afterwards you just continue to parry all the shadows and wait till she shows her face again so you can tag her with a talisman to do dmg.
EXACTLY! There should be a way to tell which is the real one, just slashing at random doesn't give you nearly enough time to take advantage of finding her
