IMPORTANT INFORMATION! (Detailed Maps and Controller Layout Recommendation)
This game doesn't hold your hand, and it expects you to either get good, or die trying. This game is also like an onion: It's got layers to it. One of those layers is something I see people complaining about, which is the map. I don't like simplistic maps, but I like what Red Candle Games has done here. They made it so that you have to upgrade the map in order to see the details of it. Now this, is the kind of stuff I love to see, people taking an old idea and enhancing that idea into something new. I don't think I've ever seen an upgradable map before, but I now want to see more of it in the future. What a great idea.

The default controls are bad for advanced play, which this game definitely is. Hollow Knight had the same issue and I couldn't ever use the Nail Arts because I was just a sitting target charging up the attack. In order to play your best, I highly recommend changing your controls to something close to this:

New controls definitely get some getting used to, especially since you've been conditioned a certain way, but I'm telling you, this button layout gives you more control over all the abilities and mechanics in this game, which you need. With this layout, you can more easily hold the charge attack, while jumping and dashing around.
