Fast Travel?

I remember getting an item (and I found it in my inventory even to confirm) that mentions being able to travel to any discovered node from the main hub. I assume the main hub is the Pavilion, but I can only travel to "Last Node" from the menu, and using the map I don't see an option that lets me go to another node from said map. Is there something I'm missing? I've just beaten Yingzhao.

Yep, you can only teleport to the last save you were at. It's not until later in the game that this expands beyond that.

It should be down on the bottom of the save point options there after you get it

...but what if I want to explore more to gain more experience and items because I'm stuck at a boss? Do I have to run all the way through a level again to return to said boss unless I never save while exploring a different area? Because if so, that is really really disappointing.

Yeah, the lack of full fast travel early on definitely sucks. I guess the standard answer is "git gud".
