I will start a new game I think because I played this one with the help of a walkthrough (first time gamer he he) and I want to play again without the walkthrough.
Ah, i wish that I could embrace the lack of achievements, perfectionism won't let me haha. I think that it will subside with time, though ;)
On the other hand, for me, they add a lot of fun to the game, make me explore every nook and cranny and are kind of an extra treat, when they come unexpected as you discover something uncommon in the game. Often, they come as a reward for your hard work or your curiosity.
So, for me, it's a nice-to-have, but you shouldn't become obsessed with it.
You can enjoy both the game and achievements. Achievements add extra bit of fun. + They add replayability for thous who collects them and can also challenge player to finish game in certain way or certain difficulty.
If you play the game just for achievements then you are playing wrong.
