Tips and Tricks (Demo)
I can't make this a guide cause you can't own this game yet so consider this as a psuedo-guide

Major Strategy
>Always draw the shortest possible path to the end, and get at least one gun on the way, avoid the central room
>Kills the biggest enemy in the room first, then the small ones. Do this as fast as possible
>You can always turn of the power and just go through doors if the room becomes too hostile
>In earlier rooms, some enemy can be disposed of early by breaking them while they're inert

Minor Tips
>Equipment are always useful but don't draw your route around getting it
>Freezing with the extinguisher make enemy die faster from any type of attacks
>You can lock rooms to deny the enemy from accessing certain areas within your route
>Look around the room before you leave. There may be extra security key hidden behind in a box or locker

Guns
Shotty: Kills enemy the fastest and last the longest in term of ammunition
Laser: Fast and accurate but runs out of ammo fast
Flamethrower: Most efficient against the tentacle things and bubbling pool but falls behind against armored enemies

Enemies
Main antagonist spore-tentacle monster:
1. You can always stop it from breaching into your room by attacking it while its trying to pry through the door.
2. There is a limit on how many bulb it can form and if you manage to elude its initial spread, you can methodically dismantle it by destroying the bulbs

Slimes: Easy to avoid, Freeze it and then kill it

Small Spider: Fast and can pounce on you

Harpoon Spider: Big and Armored. Easily avoidable. Will walk toward any pool of acid/flame you throw

Spider-Spawner: Looks like the inside of a styrofoam. Will spawn more spider continuously. Prioritize killing it as soon as you enter the room

Bubbling Pool of Blood:
1. Spreads as fast as it dies off. Will eventually become a tentacle monster if left alone.
2. Dies to any effect except for water. You can bring an item near you before interacting with a body for insurance

The spore egg is almost always my first target when I enter a room and see it, since unlike the other types currently, it can grow to become your death while the others can easily be duked/jared to death.
For the flame thrower, yup, clearing cores seems its best purpose, while the laser is both powerful, but at the same time quite limited. Shotgun is indeed great but gets iffy against cores due to bullets not piercing.
If you notice any acid/fire jars/barrels, the spider spawner can be somewhat ignored, but yes, kill it fast otherwise if its the most dangerous in the room.
Will note that a room that has a weapon/equipment that gets infected, still has it, just simply that the room is now infected. Would be helpful for maybe the icon of it is put in the corner so you can know which room has it again. Clearing infected rooms is possible if you got the gear for it.
Also found the 3rd slot equipment a few more times and realized after the 2nd time that unlike the others, this one says nothing when you get it.
Would be interesting if your ammo cap for the weapon is increased(or something) if you find the same weapon in the room. The amount of times I saw 2 weapon rooms next to each other but both have the same weapon is...not fun.

cool little guide, maybe add a thing on distracting enemies.
I didn't pay it much attention, but it's actually really good at getting heat off your back for a bit if you're doing it right.

Does seem enemies in general do not see you but rather hear you, with the exception of the core spread, those I assume seem to detect you by heat since they tend to try to spread everywhere, but some try to go straight for your character. Even if "straight" is sometimes by doing it in a curvy way.
