Directional Microphone
One of the known bugs I have seen is with the Directional Microphone. It bugs out in every map 50% of the time. It sometimes shows the blue circle behind the player, but once you turn around to face it.. It's gone. This just happened on Museum.

Haven't seen this addressed yet, unfortunately, but it's still very much a problem half a year later. Not to necropost, but I want to add a report to another person who shares the same problem in hopes of drawing attention to this. I'm still usually able to locate it by waiting until I see the blue spot come up and keeping an eye on the distance value, then walking backwards until it reads as close to 0 as I can get it and spraying straight down at my feet. Oddly, it seems only capable of picking up signals BEHIND me instead of in front of me. The moment I try to turn around, or even shift the direction slightly, the signal is often lost and I have to fumble around trying to get the blue dot to pop back up.

Another strange situation happened in a round just now where I did this as usual, walked backward to the point in question (distance read 0.2), and even heard audible confirmation through the "holy" sound effect. Placed the spray, dropped the urn, and it immediately fizzled out and triggered a hunt. Unfortunately had to abandon the exile attempt as it was the only Urn I had brought since I never had a reason to bring more than one before! For the sake of troubleshooting, this particular instance was on the newer Krampus map for a Beginner difficulty hunt, and the ghost was a Caioneag. The ghost room was the library (don't know if it matters but it appeared to be focused upstairs by the entry to the foyer), and the room that gave the holy sound and I was led to was the bedroom on the lower floor in the far back left (from the entrance), at the end of the hallway.

Not to pile on, but I notice that on the subject of misleading equipment the motion sensor seems to always point to the right on the map regardless of its actual orientation. It functions just fine, so this is a very minor issue, but it can be confusing when consulting the map to track movement without knowing the map itself well (had to explain to a friend why the motion sensor was tracking movement outside of a second floor room, haha).
It happened to me also. The blue point in right under me. But i figured it out. It's because it was a different floor. Go there and you can see it clearly. Tested.

Still frequently finding the Directional Mic to be extremely finicky and often only detects things behind me. Like I said, aside from the one issue in Krampus' house I've always been able to find the room for the Veneration. It's just in a roundabout, unintuitive way because the parabolic mic radar is wonky. Also I was mistaken regarding the motion sensor, it points OPPOSITE of it's orientation on the map, not always right. So if it's on a southern wall to point north across a hall, the map radar screen will show the line instead going south.

Just do be aware if you go for the Veneration objective that it may be a bit more complicated to find the room for the honoring objective. Keep a close eye on the distance to the blue dot on Beginner/Experienced, and on both those difficulties and ESPECIALLY higher make sure you get the audio confirmation before planting the Sigil and Urn. If you're reasonably confident in your ability to evade the ghost/have plenty of spare cash, bring two Urns just in case you end up getting a misleading signal, but I've only encountered that issue so far on the Krampus map.

Might try to submit this and other quirky bugs I've found on the Discord, I'd love to help how I can to polish up some parts here and there. I remember I found a back wall on an upper floor western room on some map that you could straight up clip right through and fall out of the map. You'd be stuck on the other side of a fence with no way to get back through the boundary geometry, so I had to abort the investigation, haha. I don't know if that glitch is still around, but it was a map where there was a staircase on the far east side, and there was a large open room directly to the right of the top of the stairs. If you recognize a map with that layout, be warned to stay away from the walls themselves upstairs lest you accidentally clip through one.
