Anyone figure out the code combos?
As the title suggests I'm trying to do the combos myself to try and get a specific lamia. But I have no idea how the combos work. For example I put all zeroes and get a gray skinned moth with yellow demon eyes. But if I change something like the first zero into a one I get a red slime with red demon eyes. I remember Dragon Creek having pairs associated with traits, is there something like that going on here?

the equation to determine the summons was changed to make it seem more random

The seed generator no longer converts characters directly to a genetic code. It did originally work by converting letters to unicode, concatenating them, and then assigning sections to different attributes, but there was some criticism of this method. I have changed it to something nearly completely random and am collecting feedback on the new method.

So far the community reception on this new method has been mixed. With this new method, the variety is increased and encourages seed sharing, however the lack of control has been seen as a negative. Let me know which you prefer. I welcome feedback as always.

Lack of control is better! Seed sharing is cool, and being able to manipulate the seed too much just makes it a character generator with too many steps.

I'm a little late but ultimately couldn't you just give the two options to the player, a seed with the possibility to modify afterward the monster ?

That is basically the old method. Maybe it can be late game perk to be able to modify something, but it is probably better to not get this ability right from the start and in full.

This would be nice to have in some instances but kind of defeats the purpose of some of the randomness aspect. Maybe it could make sense as a later game item or a costly item in the shop?

Having custom summons as a late game gold sink seems to be the direction players want to go. I have no problem with that. I will look into ways to make this possible

I do agree, I find the random method better, while I never played with the old system, from the sounds of it, it had a fairly openly deterministic generation that you could easily influence. At that point, you are functionally left with just a normal character generator that is less convinient to use than simply assigning stat-points directly
