From Cult of Cards to DEMONS...

A New Name

Whether you've been following our game for some time or have just discovered it today, we want to share the news with you that we've changed title from Cult of Cards to DEMONS.

Our demons are central to our game and we want them to be the first thing you think of when you mention us! Feedback from early testing has told us that players love the selection of demons you choose from to fight against and we think this name change will reflect this point of enthusiasm so that newcomers can easily catch on and share the enjoyment of what is great about the game.

Switching Styles

DEMONS will also be getting a terrifyingly good makeover as we seek to emphasise our 80s horror inspirations. There will be a more retro feel to the game going forward as our visuals and audio move to channel the vibes of one of the most iconic eras of horror cinema!

What stays the same?

One thing that won't be seeing significant changes is the underlying game play. DEMONS will retain the co-op, card based strategy game play that has proved engaging and exciting in testing.

Steam Strategy Fest Demo

Cult of Cards is proud to be participating in the Steam Strategy Festival!

Face the cult, find the altars, banish the demon.

Cult of Cards has simple goals, but they require some strategic play to achieve! Our demo will be available to play for free as part of the Steam Strategy Festival so that you can test your wits against the forces of evil.

Sounding scary? Fear not! You will be able to have up to 3 friends join you in this battle as both solo and co-op modes are available. Work together to set up epic plays and make the most of the helpful cards you find in your investigations.

You'll find three demons to play against in this demo - Brinebeast, The Leprechaun and The Executioner. Each of them brings a unique twist to gameplay through their rules text, which will reward strategic perk selection and tactical decision making during your investigations.

We'd love to hear about your experience playing the demo. You can join our Discord community to give feedback, report bugs and find friends to team up with for games.

Cult of Cards Alpha Playtests

Are you ready to play Cult of Cards?

Every weekend throughout August you can take part in the alpha playtest for Cult of Cards. This early look at the game features:

- Both solo play and 2-4 player co-op options.

- A short multi-panel tutorial and in game tips to help you learn how to play.

- 3 Demons to battle against.

Although the playtest is only open Friday through Monday over the weekends, you can register for access at any time. Simply head over to the Cult of Cards Steam page and click the 'request access' button.

We need your feedback!

As well as giving you a chance to try out Cult of Cards we hope the playtest will give you an opportunity to tell us what you think of the game. Over on our Discord you can:

- Send us any glitches you find.

- Let us know what you're enjoying and what you think could be better.

- Find other fans to organise multiplayer games with.

Hello developers, i am a new youtuber and love your game devour, i have done a few videos of this on youtube already and just discovered you are doing another horror game which is in early access however atm there is no way to play it ... i was wondering if you there would be a way to play this game between myself and 3 close friends to promote the game , find any bugs and also promote my channel ? i look forward to your response Moist Tea Gamin...
