Help me choose my next Yakuza Game: Like a Dragon: Ishin! or Judgment
Hi! I was looking for a new Yakuza experience, but for the moment I could only choose one of these, so would appreciate it if you could help me decide. I already played 0, kiwami 1 and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and like a dragon, so I don't know if I should go all in with the Judgment spinoff or try Ishin. Thank you in advance!

I would recommend Judgement and Lost Judgement, they are pretty amazing. Ishin is great but those 2 entries, especially Lost Judgement kept me playing non-stop.

IMO ishin remake is fine but judgment games are a really really good spin-offs.

if u can buy Judgment and Lost Judgment I'd play those games first.
If u only can buy 1 GAME. Like a Dragon: Ishin.

Ishin is honestly fine. Its nothing that special though. Lost judgement on the other hand is an absolute masterclass. One of if not the best game in the series imo.

I got LJ and while I like it, and will clear it eventually, am currently more engaged in Ishin.

I wouldn't argue that everything about LG is masterful, for starters. But it's certainly not a bad product. It certainly has its flaws, quirks and issues.

Of course Ishin has its own. At the end of the day a lot of it has to do with which setting you might be more interested in at the moment. And which MC or story you might care more for.

I love the Judgment games but I've played Ishin more in the last week than either Judgement game since their release.

Judgment without a second thought, to me Ishin remake is absolute worst RGG game I've ever played and wouldn't recommend it over anything else in the series.

When it comes to game play you cant be worse than Yakuza 3, and story Yakuza 4.

Yakuza 3 isn't even close to being a bad game, hate for it is overblown.

Story is fine but the combat becomes a slog.

Yakuza 3 wasn't a bad game when it originally released, but by modern standards, the combat has aged atrociously. 5 has had basically no changes to the combat, and yet absolutely stands up to the modern stuff, and dont forget about how 4 introduced having multiple combat styles, where (most) of them are still fun to this day. 3 is saved by things like the story being one of the better ones, and how it was at least the game responsible for sending yakuza down the path it is on today, but by god the combat is such a pain in the arse. If anything, it's not that yakuza 3 is *bad* but rather, at averages out between the good and bad parts to become a very average game, in comparison to the absolutely excellent entries that have released since.

Guess I'm one in ten hundred million people which loved Y3 combat and would go so far to say its my favorite RGG game period.

Many people find it difficult to go through Y3 combat without Komaki Parry/Drop which you get in the second half of the game, because they can't dodge properly and move behind the enemy to do damage - so *the enemies always block my attacks* argument pops up. I kinda enjoyed Y3.
