Kenzan is more than a little bit controversial story-wize. Dead Souls would be nice, but that game flopped huge upon its initial release so it's easy to see why they might not do that. Kurohyou I and II may or may not see a future release. Be cool if they did, but there are fan translations of them meanwhile. I just don't see Kenzan coming back.

Yokoyama said it before that Kenzan remake depends on Ishin remake's success and if kenzan remake happens, they are going to change the story a little bit (Haruka being a prostitute and stuff). Personally I think they shouldn't touch the story but if dead souls and kenzan come in a single collection (like Y3-5) it would be great.

Kenzan translation seems to be worked on by some modders. But ye a reboot would be nice of those missing titles.

No thanks. There's no reason to even have those versions when Kiwami 1 and 2 exist. There's some very poor gameplay choices in the orginal games.

To the orginal topic, they will have to change the story of Kenzan a bit because I KNOW that plot with Haruka will not fly in Western markets. Dead Souls would be a nice addition in a bundle. I don't ever see them doing the PSP games but that could be nice in a bundle with Dead Souls.

This is a very odd ask that I'm seeing more people make recently. Why? The definitive versions exist and while you may personally prefer the older ones over these, it will be just a waste of time to try to appease a very small margin of players. They should much rather focus on remaking titles like Kurohyou or finally working on that Kiryu Teacher game Yokoyama was talking about.

Yeah, a reskin of 0 with less content, annoying Majima system and no god tier english dub is definitive version, sure.

K2 is straight up downgrade in every regard except for Dragon Engine graphics.

May be a preference for the original release? Nostalgia? I don't recall whether they released those for PS3 outside of Japan, but I do have a copy of the PS3 J version of RGG 1 & 2 HD Edition in my library. It's a nice stroll down memory lane without having to drag the old PS2 out of storage.a

Still, Kawami 1 & 2 are vastly superior.
