it's obviously dated
20$ would be nice, just like Yakuza 0 on PC release.
yakuza 0 was incredibly well priced when it came to PC
Sega has since become greedy, plus sticking denuvo in their games puts me off buying them.
Yes game 100% does not justify an AAA price tag, it's a wait for sale title. Sega needs to learn
It was also released over a year and a half after the initial western release on PS4, so it can't be compared to this. This is a brand new release that's not hit the west before, released day and date on all platforms worldwide. They've had to port everything from the old engine to UE4, recreate enhanced fidelity assets, re-record dialogue, translate the game to 8 languages, add a glossary so people understand the historical references, QC everything etc. Whilst I'm not a fan of certain things they've changed between this and the Japanese PS4 original, they're well within their right to release this as a full priced game due to the sheer amount of effort and work put into it.
sorry, not buying that.
localisation was cheap, they didn't do an English dub. Translation work really isn't that expensive, I should know.
cut and pasting old game into new engine really isn't all that hard, especially when the game is dated to begin with
Doesn't justify the cost. They wasted money bringing in pointless e celebs that nobody gives a F about.
Lost judgment was released at full price on steam despite being on console for over a year at the time. Just Sega greed, nothing more
The cut and pasting argument really makes you look like you have no idea how video games work.
People love the 0 trilogy captains. People love them in this game. You can be out of touch with reality but that doesnt mean the rest are lmfao.
LJ point valid tho.
The only reason there is no english dub is because they didn't think it would be worth the cost being that this is an old game, that's it, don't buy into their excuses. There is nothing in the dialogue that wouldn't translate into an English script. The dialogue is spoken in modern Japanese, it's not even old fashioned, a few dialects here and there but this is no old samurai flick
Putting an old game into a much more modern, powerful engine is not hard. UE is literally build with this in mind, why do you think they chose it, it was easier than taking the old ps3 engine that this game originally ran on and putting it into the dragon engine
man this game should have been on the dragon engine.
Sega games are pretty frequently discounted on Steam, patience may well save you quite a bit of money,
Plenty of Sega games are available on game pass, so could just wait for it to pop up there.
Modern day game engines function very similarly, which means putting this old game from PS3 engine to Dragon Engine or UE4 require not much different amount of work. UE is not magic. You still have to redo most features in UE4 since its structure is different from that PS3 engine.
I'd say a dragon engine port might be easier to make since a lot of features are already done in Judgment and Lost Judgment.
If you ever tried using UE4 you'd know this UE4 port is worth the price. Their in-house Dragon Engine can't handle lighting, shadow and render as well as UE4. J&LJ's shadow is ugly asf.
Judging by how many hours of enjoyment you get out of the game I'd say $60 is worth it, hell I'd pay $60 for Yakuza 0 today. Not sure why so many people are surprised about it not feeling like the newer games, I wish SEGA did a bit of a better job of telling everyone that this is essentially a rerelease with some changes.
