Xbox buttons on a PS4 controller
When Steam Input is enabled controller shows Xbox buttons, would appreciate if developers added option in release version to manually change button type like in Yakuza Remastered games.

Thanks, that helped. Everything including vibrations works.

I’m curious if this works with switch pro controller as well

I don't have a switch pro controller on me so I can't confirm if it works. But try to enable or disable it via big picture mode and see if the layout do show up in-game.

Above solution unfortunately does not work when streaming on the Steam Link app on an Nvidia Shield. Would love for an option in the menu to be added - this really ought to be standard fare for PC releases in 2023

Yeah, that kinda solves the problem, but it shouldn't be a normal behaviour of the joysticks compatibility... and the game could at least let you choose in the accesibilites options wich button layer you want to use...

The fix did not work for me unfortunately. I disabled all controller support and it just doesn't recognize a controller, so now I'm stuck playing with Xbox inputs on a PS4 controller

Same here. It only works for me if I plug the PS4 controller in rather than using wireless. Then it will be recognised fine and show the correct icons/button mapping.

After I read this I tried it for myself and it hasnt worked for me at all. I've tried every configuration there is and nothing has worked yet. Really annoying when I'm playing something and idk what button it is since I play with a ps controller.

Can you look at the steps you posted? I'm a little confused. Which setting do I turn off?
