Pixelated hair textures
Anyone's game have extremely pixelated hair textures? The beard and hair on characters are literally just blocks of pixels.

Yeah it's bad, but only happens when you turn off antialiasing in the config file. I kept it on precisely because of that, the beards looked so stupid.

Happens with or without antialiasing. No matter how i change the settings it stays the same.

The standard antialiasing for Ishin is just garbage. You can apply a custom TAA in the game files which looks leagues better and fixes the hair issue.

1) Go to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\LikeaDragonIshin\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

2) Open Engine.ini using Notepad

3) Go to the bottom of the file and add these lines;

[SystemSettings] r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=2 r.PostProcessAAQuality=4 r.TemporalAA.Upsampling=1 r.TemporalAA.Algorithm=1 r.ScreenPercentage=100 r.MotionBlurQuality=0 ToggleKeysConfirmation=True FilterKeysConfirmation=True

4) Save and close the file. Enjoy the game with way smoother graphics.

Yeah you can replace the standard AA but it doesn't fix the hair transparency issue. Something is fundamentally broken here unrelated to AA.

This is how it looks even with the engini.ini change applied.

This is the highest settings. Lowering them in any way doesn't get rid of this issue. I have no idea what is causing this. I know i am not the only one but so far i haven't found a common link that could help finding the origin of this issue.

The look of your game is truly bizarre.
Try to turn off any overclocking, nvidia/amd control panel setting and reverting any .ini setting you've set yourself and see if it's fixed. You can also try verifying game files integrity and reinstalling your graphics drivers.
Maybe even reinstalling the game could do the trick.

There is something legitimately wrong with your graphics settings.

Do you have FSR on ultra performance mode or something?

No. All on ultra/quality.
I already verified all files, deleted the configs myself to get everything clean and did a re-install but the issue stays

Turn off fsr/xess entirely and set your gpu side driver settings to default. Whatever that is, it's on YOUR end.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess you're using an AMD.
ID-PLAY Mar 23, 2023 @ 3:27pm
New drivers rolled out today. Those fixed the issue.
Seamus Mar 24, 2023 @ 8:21am
And no one was shocked.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. Someone else here who uses NVIDIA instead of AMD also has this issue and apparently it still persists.
Making PC ports isn't easy with developers trying to make sure that their game runs on most configurations with thousands of variations existing. Other AMD users who used the same drivers had no issues in that regard.
If you got a problem: Just report it and hope that it gets fixed. This here isn't the endusers fault.
