Are you adding controller support?

It's a nice game. A game I would like to play on my OLED TV with my "Steam Machine" or on my handhelds, like the Steam Deck. The game works great on Linux. A game about digging a hole also worked great on Linux, I played it on my "Steam Machine" with Bazzite(Fedora/SteamOS like)
To do so I need controller support. I guess you will add support for controller on PC since you are planning to release the game on consoles.

When is this "later"? Why controller support is still an afterthought for some devs is beyond me. And with Solarpunk in particular, it makes absolutely no sense to deal with it “later”, as there are also console versions coming.
