Tool durability is way too low!
No one likes recrafting tools over and over and over at this rate.

These are just the starter tools. In the research table, you can already see better Iron tools with more durability that you can unlock in the final game.

Nevertheless, we increased the tool durability in the latest patch v1.1.4 from 100 to 160 durabillity :)

+10000 on this one. horrible, 5 swings of an axe is like 10% durability.

yes here too.
i mean
1. durability is a thing the most player HATE.
2. but if you use durability, then pls much more then this

Agree

I hate tools in games that get destroyed after a few uses.... I doesn't happen in the real world and it doesn't make good gameplay

Adding another voice to this one, terrible decision to have to craft a new tool every 30 seconds when harvesting, it's an unnecessary time sink that has little reason to actually exist. It does not add to balance or progression, it's just bad.

I get that there's later tools and automation is a big focus (despite it being almost completely missing from the demo until right at the end when it's not useful, not a great way to show it off), which really just makes me question even more why it's SO low. Higher tiers of tools can be better in performance, not just durability, and automation doesn't really negate this being a problem for getting friends into it.

Yup! Literally said to my friends, my only complaint is tool durability is crazy low, but I wasn't sure if there were different material tools in the future that were stronger

there's sopposed to be iron tools which I hoppe that actually last enough, but they look easy to craft and farm the materials, also the game looks to have many autosustentable mechanics.

yep, have to agree

rokaplay community manager here - I've just initially found it annoying but quickly just prepared accordingly, but I agree that the durability feels low, even when you're used to it. It doesn't add much.

We definitely look through the reports and feedback we get and will change features accordingly, so thanks for bringing it up and all the +1.

I haven't even tried the demo yet and saw this and...please no...I have animal crossing induced anxiety from crafting hundreds of tools. I know it won't be the case here to build that many but if durability is in game, please make it last a while like Palia, Voyagers of Nera (has a repair station we build and repair is free). Repair doesn't even have to be free but accessible. I understand the progression but this is frustrating. I will still try the demo with another huge hope we can have 3rd person in full game even if it's a preset character.
I think either make it take longer to cut/mine things with the base tools or wayyyy up the durability. its far too low.

I know the demo is short but I kinda just quit as I'm sick of crafting tools every 15 seconds.

It is only the wood/stone level of equipment. Iron is not playable in demo, so we don't know, if second tier equipment last longer.

Yeah I spun the game back up to see if iron was better found it to be completely locked, so just finished the demo. And will revisit if they update the demo or maybe after release.

You guys know that they are the starter tools you can craft without any workbanch.... of course they are weak.
