I don't know what you're talking about, but to each, his own. For everyone else not wearing a tinfoil hat, this is an excellent game that hits the PSone, dungeon crawling, Kingsfield vibe.
They made a version that they built with the original Kings Field map maker that's 100% free that's pretty good too.

I'm pretty sure it does, although I used controller to play it. There were times when the controller wasn't on and I was able to navigate using M/K, but I didn't actually play the game using that.
As to combat, this is an old style game, like Kingsfield, so the combat tends to be slow and clunky, even with a controller.
How's that Smite 2 going for you? lul
Though the balance of weapons and elemental effects is totally screwed.
It might be worth looking up a longplay and seeing some of the later regions to see if they pique your interest. I liked it overall but still found it a little underwhelming.
