Lucky's Tale was definitely made for kids primarily. 8-12 year old me would have loved this game, but 32 year old me really likes it too. It's a platformer, we all love them right? It's also not overly easy, I find myself dying occasionally. Maybe not as much as Crash games but probably as much as a Mario game.

The level design is pretty amazing, there are no pre rendered backgrounds to add illusion of depth. Everything you see is your level environment. The graphics are highly polished in VR and even a potato can run it. My absolute favorite parts are when you dive into a hole and do a side platforming bit, they are just that extra touch that makes me keep playing.

The story is basically non existent, but it's a platformer. There is lots of replayability here too, though I don't think it is that long. I would say wait for a sale but $20 is reasonable, and this genre just works so well in VR. I find myself always searching for the next 3rd person platformer that is actually worth playing.

I can't think of that many cons to this game but one major one for me is there really isn't any puzzle solving that is of any depth. I would have liked to have seen mini puzzles that would shake up the monotonous enemy bashing and coin collecting. The voice of lucky is also kind of annoying and childish, but not too bad.

Overall I am enjoying it, but I don't think I would have touched this game on flatscreen. VR just makes it really worth playing. I hope they bring Lucky's Tale 2 to VR as well! Would definitely buy it.

Awesome Game...it's a beautiful transition from 2D to VR. Game is extremely polished already.

Controls for the Standard HTC Vive are a bit tricky because of the Track Pads being so sensitive to the touch. I die a lot due to the character moving, and moving very fast, where i do not want him to go.

Hoping for a ton of great content here since it was in 2D for quite some time before being available in VR.

3D platforming is really fun in VR, game is rather simple but looks amazing.

Really enjoyable game so far. Playing in the Index and the controls are very intuitive and easy, I haven't had any issues. The environments look great and you can tell that a lot of effort went into making the game look nice. I like the immersion in this game and its nice to be able to look around and play standing or sitting; if you are new to VR you can play for a substantial amount of time without any of the newer side-effects that might come on in other VR games when first getting started. Great game for old or young.

Enjoyable. I wanted to play more. Refreshing to see this sort of thing in VR. Not Mario, but close enough to give me those kicks.

With so many VR games this is an essential for your library. Excellent production values and worth full price. It's a platformer, so it plays like Mario. Hop on enemies to kill them, collect coins for bonus lives, avoid traps, reach checkpoints to replenish your hearts. The environments are beautiful, stylized, and varied. Levels start easy but get more difficult as you play. The music suits each environment perfectly. It's not a long game, but there is replayability for completionists such as speed runs and finding collectibles. They recently added achievements if you are a player who needs achievements. If you love platformers, you cannot go wrong with this purchase.

Good VR platformer game. At the time of writing, I haven't played Moss or Trover yet, so I can't compare it to another vr platformer yet, but it was pretty good. The level design looks great, and they've reused models from their New Super Lucky's Tale title, which look very good. Unfortunately, they didn't implement Lucky's dig or slide mechanic from the aforementioned title, but that was expected, as this is a remake of Lucky's first game. Depth perception was a little difficult to master, so I found myself repeatedly falling to my death when trying to jump from enemy to enemy at times. Now that Playful has mastered crafting a great 3D platformer and refined their VR development skills, I'm eager to see what Lucky has in store next.

This game seemed cool so I gave it a try but the interactivity with Lucky is still pretty low, and this game plays like a flatscreen platformer. I kinda wish this game took advantage of the fact it's in VR and you can do alot more stuff with your hands like freezing enemies with them or finding secrets!
Also when you fall off you die instantly, I know it's supposed to be like super mario bros but I've played Pac Man and the Ghostly adventures 2 which makes falling off less punishing by only removing 1 heart instead of a whole life, or maybe make us be able to save lucky from drowning or falling.
In verdict the game is mid in my opinion.

Very enjoyable and relaxing platform game, with very nice environments design. The music and sound are good as well.
Recommended to anyone who is into a cool and not to hard platformers.
