Frustration: The Game
I'm primed to give up. Rerolls rerolling into the exact same items, your primary DPS deciding their best position in a group of 20+ is to facetank, quests resetting unless you shell out some money (because gameplay candy generation is atrocious), candy generation being atrocious, the insanely predatory "click this to speed up healing in camp" which consumes an insane amount of candy that no one in their right mind should ever utilize (and I haven't, but I'm worried I'll one day accidentally click it), and, hey, did I mention the awful candy generation mechanic?

I like the idea of candy as a resource, I really do. Deciding whether or not to use some on a gamble is fun even when you lose, but its current implementation is far more frustrating than engaging. For such an integral mechanic to the game, it relies too much on actual money to be an interesting facet of the gameplay loop. On that note, I'm even willing to forgive the outlandish DLC prices. Certainly, the fact that those factions are forever hidden behind a paywall is frustrating and it'd probably be the most frustrating aspect of the game - hiding character classes behind a very steep paywall - but there's so many more constant, nagging frustrations that I can't even begin to be upset by it. That's a problem. The whole thing is a problem.

I want to keep playing this game, but I'm finding it harder and harder to do so. The wildly varied different descriptions of identical mechanics - or new mechanics that prop up as one progresses (does the dragon soup stack?) - are so arbitrarily ill-defined and obtuse that one can't discover their actual effect in game because the game never tells you a single thing about how anything is actually influencing anything else.

I still play it but I have no idea why. I just keep it on in the background.
I only keep playing for achievements. The game itself has some nice ideas but is ultimately extremely unfun to play.
I have been playing on and off for a year. Can not get damage on Dragon or get past level 100. Tried raising concert tiers, different characters. Used candy to upgrade stuff in candy shop etc. No idea what I am doing wrong especially since I can not do any damage to Dragon. I am about ready to start 2025 by giving up. lol

Im at 450 zone, cultist human + cheese + progress hand + priest of light + dark priest + fire damage + gourmet, proper dmg buffers from lines will do it.
