Problem with multiplayer
Hello, I am having trouble playing with friends. I return to the main menu whenever i join a game and the host starts the game. When i host the game, i am able to get into the game, but my friends returns to their main menu. I have tried updating all drivers, and reinstalling the game and also verifying it.
We are all on 1.04

This is something else, it means steam is down or you’re logged out, in offline mode etc.

Hm, sounds like connection is getting lost somehow. Does the load time seem particularly high? Wondering if it’s timing out or something.

Have you ever joined a random lobby successfully?

Except I'm able to join other people's games and friends are able to join my games on other multiplayer games. Steam is not down. I am not an offline mode. I've also tried rebooting steam. I've tried re-logging into steam. I've tried rebooting my laptop. Zombieville 3D is the only game that's doing this.

Well that's quite odd. There's not very many points of failure, it's just one line of code that just asks "Hey steam, you there?". If it's coming back false even though you're online and logged in, that's hard to explain, especially since I haven't had any other reports like this yet.

Just to rule something out, maybe find the .exe for the game and tell it to run as administrator? I'm wondering if it's windows firewall or something getting in the way. It'll be at SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Zombieville USA 3-D/Exodus/Binaries/Win64/Exodus-Win64-Shipping.exe

Sorry for the frustration! These kinds of edge cases are annoying for everyone involved.
I have had this exact issue with many steam lobby games. Lockdown protocol for example. This same thing happens all the time. Unfortunately i dont think Mika will be able to fix this without getting rid of steam lobbies all together.

The only thing ive found that has helped is raising your ping in steam settings to 5000. Not sure why this would help, maybe giving a buffer if for some reason you have it at 150 and it goes over, it disconnects or something. But this only helps if everyone has it set.

Running as admin did not work.

Also tried lowering my ping on the off chance it would work for me. No change.
