BOKURA
[Spoiller] The new Ending discussion update 0.9 (Angry)
So after playing Bokura two times with my partner (The second time the game will force you to play the other character and you will receive a aditional scenes of base ending).
Me and my partner really were enjoying the game and when the update 0.9 was release..

We decide to play for third time, our characters seems to be much older.. and we reunite with Haru and we die eating by Haru.

Is that it?
Just dying together?! just three dialogues and death?!

I dunno everyone but if this is the "NEW" ending... it really ruins everything.
And doesn't explain the final sequence of the second ending about seeing you and you partner like ROBOTS.

I beat the 3rd ending twice to arrive at the following conclusions. The following might help you, though again, it's not 100% certainty.

- The robot world is the real world. The house-program in the old man's house is telling the truth. This is why at the end when the protagonists think of meeting with Haru again for who Haru is, they "both" see the robot world.
- The statue (peak antenna) is part of a global system designed to make robots think they are humans and humans are monsters. Any glitchy effects are a sign of malfunction. The protagonists seeing the real robot world and the fake animal world are malfunctions of the intended program.
- Haru is probably the only real human being in this game. He is only seen as human when the aforementioned program is malfunctioning, in both the real robot world and the fake animal world.
- The protagonists being beheaded and cloning themselves "makes sense" and "actually happen", because they are robots. Same goes for putting things back together and making things come back to life.

As such, the additional ending is a happy ending where the protagonists ultimately see the real world for what it is and reunite with Haru. They are not eaten. Haru has never actually killed any character.

A lot of this coincides with lore from previous games of this dev, but there is much to be sorted out and tied together. It's a little harsh for people starting this dev's lore with this game.

Or I could just be completely wrong lol, who knows.
根本的に間違っている可能性もあるのであしからず。

Mmm.. when you put it in that way.. makes alot of sense

Then why the parents see haru like his son?
Haru having robot parents?
Why Haru eat his parent?

Thanks for the reply.. that change my mind a little.

Here you go.

- The parents and Haru are not related. The parents never actually see human Haru in-game, nor do they specify having done so indirectly. Whenever Haru is around, the parents are either unconscious or absent. At the end of the game, the surviving parent screams and falls unconscious implicitly from seeing Haru as a monster.
- At the end of the 2nd ending, when the protagonists explicitly say Haru's name, we get absolutely no reaction from the surviving parent, implying their son is not named Haru.
- We do not see how Haru sees the world. What we know for sure is that Haru understands "everyone else" is afraid of him, and that Haru mentions very indirectly that the remaining parent "sort of looks like Haru's parent".
- Haru probably "eats robots" in an attempt to appease loneliness. Again, Haru is not actually "eating", the program just makes it look like Haru is eating. Note how Haru does not actually eat the protagonists in the very beginning of the game, just approaches and leaves. At the end, Haru is probably just hugging the surviving parent. In no part of the game is there any explicit expression of where Haru "eats" a character and results in that character's death. We as players are just intentionally tricked to assuming so by appearance.
- If Haru and human beings are not part of the program, then they would most likely see the robot world for what it is. If all Haru has grown up with surrounding him are robots, there is a chance he cannot tell robots apart from each other, or they essentially do look identical. Note the 2nd to last puzzle sequence for the older brother shows a bunch of identical dogs and protagonists heads during the platform moving sequence, implying the mass production of identical robots.
- The second game by the same dev is based on the idea of "robots farming humans". It wouldn't be surprising to me to see two robots similar in nature to the protagonists who brought up Haru for who Haru is.

My most major concern is why Haru left the protagonists at the campfire. This, to me, is the most unexplained yet core part of this game's story. What they talked about after the Pakemon question is unexplained, and the protagonists suddenly know Haru's name next morning, implying they had additional conversations behind the scenes.

Based on Haru's dialogue from the 2nd ending, I assume Haru was still skeptical about the protagonists not being afraid of Haru, so Haru fled, but that doesn't seem natural to me. If it was to continue searching for the others in the mountain, then why not go with the protagonists? This behavior simply doesn't make sense to me. Based on the beginning, I also thought maybe Haru can't tell the difference between sleeping robots and dead robots, but that also seems very farfetched.
