It's very doubtful they will do this, considering the games need to be compatible all together. The core games are GBA ports while Double Team was on the DS. It would make the work load to adapt that one with the GBA games and have them have crossover potential, a lot more.

Bass Cross could still be in the game. On the Wii U Virtual Console, Bass Cross could be obtained by simply by going to the network menu.

Oh thats cool. I just assume these ports are the GBA versions so I dont think it would have them. But if they port that one then my complaint would be fixed.

The GBA Version DID have them. They were locked behind the E-Reader, so 99% of the players will never have gotten them but if you had an E-Reader, you could get them in the GBA too.

In other collections like ZX, Capcom added a menu to activate crossover and e-Reader content, so it's quite likely you'll be able to activate them in this collection too.

While not announced yet, there's two major hints indicating its inclusion. Not just with Bass Cross, but all e-reader mods (Not including in-game item bonuses).
One would be the infrastructure supporting such a feature is already available with the download chips. Also, the download chips for BN's 4-6 could only be obtainable via e-reader.

I would love to see them go all the way on this, as Bn5's e-reader mods being the most balanced among them would allow near endless replay value for that game with various perks and bugs.

Wow I I never realized the GBA games had them. I guess because I hadn't even heard of most of the content until the DS version came out.

Interesting, well I'm hopeful then that they are going to put it in I guess. Especially since they decided to make their own network infrastructure to support and online mode for this collection.

Honestly this is like everything I dreamed about as a kid for a battlenetwork game, haha.

Wait how do I access that in ZX to get the Battle Network enemies

Lol No, try playing with SolCross. Now THAT breaks the game HARD, provided you jack in from Oran Island and End City statue. Here, let me break it down for you:

+200 HP & Super Armor from the start, already Gold BassCross programs given. Then you get GunDelSol 1 charge shot. 120, piercing wide sword range 1 square ahead, meaning only the back row is safe.
THEN from the moment you step into Oran Island, you get Auto Recovery (10% Raw HP healed after every battle. Not only that, but in the sun, you get a ramping +20 dmg on EVERY ATTACKING CHIP. So just spam those multi hit chips. Like Tornado, which also becomes available in scenario 2 (or first liberation mission bonus panels if you're lucky enough)

And all GunDelSol chips, including the charge shot, gets doubled in power. Meaning 240 dmg charge shot.

I recommend a D code folder, early game spreader, vulcan 1, Django & Django SP, DethPhnx, tornado (from Lib1 bonus panel), hicannon D, seaseed D, gundelsol 3 D are all available in regular playthrough.

Also, the ramping +20 dmg applies to program advances and persists through double soul effects. Meaning you can fire off a number soul boosted super vulcan with +30 extra dmg instead of just +10 from soul.

Unexpected, but good stuff.

Now all that's still missing is the option for players to freely customize the MMBN4 tournament scenarios to their personal preference, rather than have the whole thing be entirely randomized.

What you don't wanna refight some of the boring fighrd or do annoying quests lol. I hope we can do swap save like RS/BM to share navis in tournaments.
Kratosirving Mar 28, 2023 @ 4:02pm
I mean I'd love for that to be the case, but than you also have to input something like a BBS from BN2-3 for the dropped scenarios as a Sidequest hub and I don't think there's any chance in hell of that happening.

Closest we'll get for doing something with a tourny is what I assume will be BN4's primary shtick for drawing people to Netbattle from that title.

It's pretty well confirmed now that none of the DS exclusive content for any of these games will be included in this collection. No Double Team, no Shooting Star, no 4.5
Lumanator Mar 29, 2023 @ 6:17pm
Well, no double team, but you can still be Bass Cross via Patch Cards
