How fun are these games?
So I have never played these games. It looks kind of interesting but it's hard to say based on the video they provided. Looks like a bunch of 1 on whatever battles like fighting games. Is that what the gameplay is like for all of these games? Or are they also like the previously released mega man games on Steam where you travel through worlds blasting all that stand in your way?

Just looking to get more info from the players that really played these. Thank you! :Chado::whowantssome:

As my favorite megaman series so to me a ton of fun.
It can be grindy a bit but i lovr the story and due to deck based gane a hifg replay value as you could go a theme de k or meta or just ranfomly asssembled or even as weak as it is starter deck etc.
And don't kkow ehat the online features will allow but know of trading, bartyling and data (for boss defeat tinez sbd chip collection progress)
Do hope tjough assebled devk sharing too but that i fon't remenber seeingand a option but could be there.
Love the stories too but kost of all reimagined upscaked robot masters as netnaci'd is one og my favorute tgings in the series(heck even some x series charavters where ther but wish they did more there)

To me it's very fun.
World exploration is split into the real world as Lan and the cyber world as Megaman.exe. When you are in the cyber world, enemy encounters are like pokemon with the random ecounters aside from story battles. Battle are played out in a grid based combat system where you move on your side and use your megabuster and battle chips to defeat enemies. Battle chip are powerful attacks/heals/etc that you use during battle help you win. Chip folders are like card decks(Ex. Marvels Midnight Sun if you played it), you build your folder with 30 chips that you will randomly use in battle.

Here is a review of the collection for you watch if it helps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWjxUFp8c34&t=18s

There's a reason why I absolutely love this series, with BN2 being my favorite game of all time. Not just for the story and engaging characters, not just for the childhood nostalgia of playing these when I was the same age as Lan all the way through highschool, but because of how fun they are.

Its an interesting combination of deck building and action. It uses random encounters and different areas of the net or different private networks tend to have a mix of older and newer unique enemies that stick to the theme. In later games there's event thematic environmental hazards like if you're in a fridge or a cold nations network then your virus encounters might include ice blocks. In a mining network? Rocks! A network themed around the sky? Holes in the arena! Volcano? Lava Panels!

It's a very high action game especially in some of the later boss battles and you're typically meant to string together combos of your battle chips (which are like cards) in order to dish out maximum damage. Each game also adds new layers of strategy whether it be in the form of new chips, new forms for Megaman that affect how you use those chips or simply enemies that just do new or remixed things. It's honestly hard to fully describe but I highly recommend it.

Thanks guys. That helped, kind of reminds me of The Legend of Heroes saga's and it's combat too in a way. But yeah, it's definitely different for sure looking at the video ShowOfTimes provided.

It's a real-time card game mixed with chess: it's also the only GBA game that's an eSport. That's how dedicated most of us are, the game is so much damn fun.

yes, but those are on the old emulations. Considering the early review from ShadowRockZX showing that there are no significant chip restrictions in the online PVP in this, not going by any tournament rules, I'm not sure if the tournament scene will make it's way over here. it's going to be a chaotic no holds barred multiplayer in this.
