Alot of question for MMBN1!!!

I'm not mad, but made me crazy~ I'm planning to get all archivement, but get all chips archivement is look like ridiculous~

1. Howitzer H: How to H**L get this chip, tht's is impossible to get it~ (Why?) i try turn on the "Buster Max Mode" & keep shoot until Howitzer killed. But the highest rank only get 9~
Everytime what i reward is just only zenny~

2. Googling the website about the where to get the chips~
a. What is OSS? (Operation Shooting Star? What version is that~ Does this steam version is OSS?)
b. What is BMD? (Undernet BMD? What was that~ What's the different with Lan's Internet?)
c. What is RMD? (Undernet RMD? What was that~ What's the different with Undernet BMD?)

I'm really new in MMBN to all version~

1. Howitzer H is from the HardHead virus with Busting Rank 9-S. If there are no other viruses on the field, you will never be able to get higher than a 9, as you need to double/triple-delete for an S rank against viruses.

2. Operation Shooting Star is the DS remake, it isn't the version used for this release, which is the original GBA Megaman Battle Network.
BMD is Blue Mystery Data, the pickups you obtain on the net. I don't know where you're reading "RMD" as there is no Red Mystery Data.

1. To improve your chance on getting the Howitzer Chip, you will want to fight one or several Hardheads + at least one other enemy, and getting a double or triple kill to improve your rank (with a navi attack, for exemple Sharkman)

2.a. OSS is an improved version of MMBN1 that released on Nintendo DS, exclusively in Japan. Not the version in the collection, refer to MMBN1 simply.
2.b. Blue Mystery Data, it's the Blue collectibles that you can find on the Internet/Undernet/Dungeon Maps
2.c. Random Mystery Data, Collectible datas that respawn every time you jack in, random data is always green or blue I think.

Battle rank 9 to get Howitzer H is only a 3% chance according to a faq. Of course most of the time you're going to get money drops. Your best chance is to double/triple delete, which means have more than 1 enemy along with a howitzer enemy in battle. You can never get higher than a rank 9 with only 1 enemy in battle.
Start using chips that have aoe like bubbler, heater, and many navi chips that can hit the whole field like gutsman, and woodsman to name a few.

Alternatively if you have fast fingers you can double delete with bustermax if they're lined up, it's not the easiest thing to pull off but it's possible.
You could also get it from the chip trader, I was going to offer you one of mine but it appears I got it while farming the chip trader for something else and it got traded away in the process.

Search for the virus encounter in the powerplant area that has only the two hardheads, one in top row, one in bottom row. Hope you start the turn with either Colorman or the patch data Bass navi chips, wait until they both shoot at you, use navi chip for S rank because it will kill both of them for a double delete.

you want my advice man, i am playing through them all. but i am a veteran of mmbn 3 since 12 years old, if its painful then dont 100% games 1,4,5 but do 100% 2,3,6 as they are WAY more fun to play.
