Hard Mode in BN 2

So far I have 4 stars, I want to unlock Hard mode, or is that mode not included anymore? I tried the code but it won't work with 4 stars.

You need 5 stars at the title screen in MMBN 2 in order to unlock hard mode, not 4. The star requirements are the following:

Yellow Star Defeat the story's final boss.
Green Star Defeat Real Bass in WWW Area.
Red Star Complete the 250 chips in the Library.
Purple Star Complete the 10 Secret Chips in the Library (they will only appear once they are obtained). These Secret Chips can only be obtained in Network Duels.
Blue Star Complete Program Advance in the Library.

was there another star for something like time trials? saw something like that for mmbn 3, idk about mmbn2

Time trials didn't exist for bn2
