Allow For Restoring MMBN3 Net Color, Post-Game! :O
While this has of course been "the way it is" since it originally launched, I've always felt like this is not the way it's "supposed to be"! The collection has already awesomely fixed the disaster music from always playing in post-game on MMBN6 and I would absolutely love to see a similar treatment for Battle Network 3. I always felt a little sad that the world just keeps getting worse leading to the final battle and that because the game simply reverts to the last save before the final battle (with knowledge of that win and the unlocks that come with it, of course!), it can almost feel like a purgatory, of sorts, with everyone forever in a frenzy, the net forever being drained of life, etc. While one of my number-one wishes for a new Battle Network game would be that a post-game "everyday life" scenario is developed to replace the disaster scenario for all our post-game exploits, in the case of MMBN3 in this collection, I would definitely settle for the world at least reverting back to LOOKING the same, just as MMBN6's post-game world has been updated to at least revert back to SOUNDING the same as it did before the final disaster scenario of began.

I've seen a bunch of posts on this topic relating to the original release of MMBN3, but I wanted to make sure I at least did a little bit to give it some exposure, now that there is a new release in a collection capable of receiving updates like the ones provided for MMBN6.

Here's hoping! :D

I hated "going past the point of no return" is BN3 games :MegaMan_Emblem: , knowing that now the net will forever be dull and lifeless. I had considered playing one to completion, and then keeping the other with a colorful net. But alas, in the end I decided I needed to 7-star both versions, so "boring-net" it would be... forever. :Bass_Emblem: Please let us have color on the net again!

Btw, in case anyone is interested that "point of no return" is right before you defeat the alpha-bug in the first tank in ACDC town. :MegaMan_Emblem:

I feel ya! I was in the same boat, knowing it was coming made it worse this time around and then I was still surprised because I randomly had it in my head that it was the background that greyed out, so I was surprised when I reached the point and it ended up being the even more pointed dulling of the actual paths, instead! It's rough, because it REALLY drains the life and unique personalities out of areas that were previously really nice looking. Again, totally get it for that point in the story, but not resetting after reaching post-game feels like just as much a a bug as the endless disaster music in the post-game MMBN6!

This is really the only fix needed for MMBN3 from the original release and seeing MMBN6's extremely similar issue dealt with now that Capcom is on a platform that allows for updates, it gives me hope that the same can be done for MMBN3!

I hope so! BN3 is my favorite in the series, it really is a great game save for this one issue, and it kills me that the net is never restored (in game play I mean).

only played the first game up to the lightning level. What do you mean the net becomes lifeless after you kill a certain boss? sorry I'm new to the game

Not in BN1, but in BN3 the net becomes dull and lifeless before the end. It's really unfortunate. You said you were new to the game, so I don't want to spoil anything.
