We all know most folks will simply go with the more "content complete" version that is Blue, rather than being concerned about online meta whatsoever in their version choice.
FolderBak is busted because not only is it the only time stopping chip that can end the turn, it flat out reshuffles your hand. Use FlashMan or PlantMan, then FolderBak to end the turn. Look for a combo, preferably something that involves FlashMan, FolderBak again. If done right, it's trivially easy to hardlock your opponent in a way that renders them unable to do anything.
even outside of 11th chip, the ability to reset your entire folder at any time (which, mind, only applies to YOU) allows you to recycle overpowered chips as many times as you want while your opponent eventually exhausts their folder. it's too great an advantage to ignore.
it's such a gamebreaking chip that the N1GP team that released the BetterBN3 PvP Balancing patch had to nerf it to the point that it was practically unrecognizable. It's just too damn good, and if they don't nerf it at least somewhat (and fix 11th chip), BN3 PvP is going to be dominated by FlashMan/PlantMan cheese folders. Nobody is going to have fun in there.
Good decision if this does turn out to be the case, one reset of a Folder should normally be more than enough anyhow.
From what I remember, isn't Bass Cross in both versions but different? Like Proto's is gold or the usual Bass color palette, and Colonel's is silverish? I think the Charge shot is different too, but don't remember what else is.
I think Gold Bass Cross has Superarmor, and Silver has float shoes, along with some different NaviCustomizer+ parts
I prefer Mist Man to Bowl Man, Ground Style to Shadow Style, and I prefer White's Giga Chips.
Multi-hits can be upgraded for more damage than the single-hit counterparts.
Navi Recycle is less of a crutch than Folder Back, and can still re-use Serenade and Bass... and if memory serves, Navi Recycle also duplicates the attached +damage chips while Folder Back shuffles the entire folder (scrambling whatever combos you were working towards and resetting probabilities of drawing key chips). Folder Back allows chip-reuse but also clogs the hand while folders not using it continue to stream-line down to remaining combos.
Also, reusing a chip like Flash Man v4 in Blue would require Flash Man, Folder Back, Flash Man (3 chips) but White allows Flash Man, Navi Recycle (2 chips, with no shuffle to disrupt).
Blue Version is more defensively inclined... Shadow Styles hide, Dark Aura blocks, Folder Back is a mulligan... nothing wrong with that. Blue is more straight forward (and Punk as an optional fight available in Blue only).
White Version promotes strategy... Ground Style provides different terrain advantages, Serenade/Alpha/Bass combos can be devastating, Navi Recycle is a variable that acts as a Navi Chip and allows reusing attack+ chips in combo.
Done both, liked Blue, but LOVED White.
Because i like that chip way too much to miss a chance to get it: Serenade's Folder was by far my favourite.
