For people with a wide monitor

I hope there is an option to play the game in windowed version instead of a fullscreen, I like to playa game with youtube or facebook on the side.

So it's not just me being irritated by no resolution options... I really don't like fullscreen games, especially with pixelart since it hurts my eyes after a while. ;' I hope the devs see this and add some resolution options.

True, my screen is really wide and when the character moves the background blurs and it makes me feel nauseous

A windowed mode or an ultra-wide resolution option in-game would be nice.

Create a shortcut of the game to the desktop. Don't try it with the shortcut that steam creates. Manually go to your local files, click the game and create the shortcut.

Open properties and ADD something like this at the end of the path in the Target box:

-screen-fullscreen 0 -screen-height 1600 -screen-width 2560

Make sure there is a space between the end of the file path and the text.

Adjust the resolution to your liking. The game will now open windowed. It is a work around until the dev adds resolution settings to the game.

It seems like if you are using Proton you can just right click on the Chef RPG application from the library in Steam and then select Properties..., General, Launch Options and put the options in there.

I tried different multiples of 800 x 450 but the font always seems a bit mangled.
