Finished current state of game in ~2 weeks of spare time. Good game - concept, characters, most of the story - all check out. Here are my biggest gripes since I've decided to stop playing:

- Copper too scarce. Probably half of my time was spent circling the ocean cave for copper - and then later, adding the volcano to my copper search ritual. I mainly had no interest in watering in the greenhouse manually, so I was hunting for copper to get sprinklers set up. I ended up only making 1 large sprinkler on account of no copper or powercells.

- Powercells to scarce. Someone online said to keep resetting the day's save state to reset the board quests, which is the only way to get powercells, and it worked. I got 20 of them for upgrading the fridge by resetting the save state probably 100 times total (more inventory was a MUST, first), plus three more for one large sprinkler. I wanted more sprinklers, but I lost interest in resetting for powercells. I have just decided against perfecting the greenhouse.

- I didn’t look twice at Prisca’s construction stuff when I realized that going deeper down the upgrade trees meant I needed more powercells and copper. Sorry game, it is just too rare to get those things. At this point I can make a billion dollars with one restaurant day, but I remain powercell-less.

- The next upgrade of fridge space needs 100 powercells? Are you kidding? I don’t think anyone would want to grind for that.

-Bathhouse restaurant doesn’t make sense to me. The plot is that I’m a chef whose restaurant is bringing life back to the little town. When the bath house opens up, you learn that there used to be a harmony between bathhouse and the restaurant before the old chef abandoned it long ago. Why does the bath house also have a restaurant, and why do I have to manage it? Deal with your own business, mysterious android lady – I’ve got my own restaurant to run! Also, there’s no way in hell I’m farming 20 more powercells to upgrade your fridge, nuh uh. AND, you took my freaking copper with your plot of forcing me to make you copper pipes! Screw you! I wanted that rare copper! Managing my own inventory is annoying enough – when I had a plot task that forced me to use their restaurant, I just spend half a day transferring my main restaurant inventory to the tiny bathhouse inventory. It was fun to decorate and set up the place when I had a lot more money to do so than with my own, but that was pretty much it. If you’re going to have me manage another restaurant, at least make me able to appoint a manager and make it more hands off.

- The guy who comes in waaay later who says he sells volcano material on the weekends didn’t even have copper for sale when I saw him, so he's basically useless to me. I have 100 Iron and sulfur already, dude.

- Stuck in a romance. I wanted to date everyone to learn about their backstory and then pick one person to go deeper into, but as soon as I clicked the ‘romance’ button to see what it did on someone, suddenly I was unable to date anyone. It’s like they all knew I was in a relationship with a person, so flirting around was no longer an option. There needs to be a ‘let’s just be friends again’ option. I am now permanently in a romance with the crazy bubble tea android. She’s alright.

- Travel speed annoying. Early on I was very peeved about the walking speed, and it didn’t improve much later on in the game. I found a necklace that gives +5% moving speed, but it’s barely noticeable. Can I get a bike that can’t go in caves/buildings or something? Some days I just want to shop and talk to people, but they’re all over the map.

- Music transitions between areas is a bit rough.

- Always felt that the hunting was a bit clunky, plus there are only 2 weapons and I hate the spear. I say drop the spear and improve the bow, maybe add 10 more bow variants for different styles. For those who like the spear for some reason: do you enjoy walking forever to chase after animals when they run away?

- Menus for brewing alcohol and opening chests would make my mouse disappear. Had to do a blind wiggle to finds the buttons.

- Could not manage inventory with equipment (drill, scythe, bow) in hand. Confused me at first, then learned the issue and just got used to unequipping stuff before opening any inventory.

- Only way to get dark chocolate was from the 7-11 place in the east, which I thought was odd. The Milk & Wheat place should sell them.

-I find it odd that I am able to harvest the farm in the east. That stuff is not my property, but I steal from it regularly anyways because the game lets me.

- I bought every storage-looking decoration I could to test in my house – but yeah, they’re just decorations. The one at-home storage you get is the same one you start with. No way of expanding home inventory. I started throwing away clothes near the end to make room for material.

For the power cell thing, I'd suggest getting either the perk that allows celebrities to visit your restaurant, or to get the one that allows you to do events, or both. Both have a chance of rewarding you with power cells, and in quite a substantial amount. (Upwards of 50, lowest I've seen is 11)
I just encountered this one as well:

- Menus for brewing alcohol and opening chests would make my mouse disappear. Had to do a blind wiggle to finds the buttons.

I did not have this problem before when I played a couple months ago (before the last big update).

Also, I took secret admirer, but I have never gotten anything in the mail from anyone. Not sure why.

And since coming back, I haven't seen any sparkles in the sand to dig. I usually was able to find one or two every few in game days before. Was the chance lowered?
