Fishing for Caviar

Did the fishing rate for caviar got nerfed or something?

Ever since the new patch I haven't gotten anything from special fishing spots. I've only gotten Tuna and Yellowtail. I also haven't gotten "sunken treasures" when catching giant fish.

Just kinda curious since Caviar is one of the best ingredients in the game.

I've been playing the latest game when it has been patched. It was either yesterday or the day before but I've caught sturgeon that give the caviar. This is during autumn and winter down on the beach south of the hostel and house. I wasn't even using the special fishing spots to catch sturgeon, I just wanted to relax. Just adding information, I've never gotten "sunken treasures".

I caught my first Giant fish a couple of hours ago and it was 30 Caviar. It's summer.

Oh wow I didn't even knew that Sturgeon can be caught in non special fishing spots. I actually got my first sunken treasure earlier and got a common furniture. Thank you.

best time i found was at night during winter, does not sound right but its working for me

I've only gotten the chest from "giant fish" a handful of times. The loot was quite similar to what you get when you dig up treasure on the beach and/or inside caves.

Hey guys sorry to necropost but I was wandering in the year of our Lord 2025 has anyone noticed any changes to when sturgeon/caviar is catchable? Cuz in my personal experience on the current update I was getting them consistently throughout summer but I've had 0 hits despite A LOT of fishing in fall. I'd say I'm also getting very little yellowtail in fall although it's been very rare even in summer.
