Just some first impressions
Overall the game seems like it's going in a good direction and things are shaping up well. There's just a few things I notice that sort of bugged me.

1) The placement of the refrigerator in Le Sequoia is right next to the window which seems less than ideal since that's where I would want to set up the seats for guests not my kitchen to cook.

2) The mini cooking/gathering games:
Chopping: with a keyboard and mouse and giant bear paws like I have, some of the double key combos are just not comfortable to hit. Not a huge fan.

Grilling: I'd like to see the target move after a miss. It seems too harsh to have to wait for it to go all the way around again. This is just in comparison to the chopping game which seems lighter if I miss a key due to the aforementioned issue I have with it. And I'm just going on the final result number in both cases.

Fishing: I dunno if I did something wrong or what, but it doesn't seem you can use WASD for the movement and have to use the arrow keys. Would prefer that not to be the case.

3) I'm not a huge fan of being required to hire help for waiting initially. I'd like to be able to do some of the waiting myself. I mean, sure once the place is bigger and you get some income rolling in, I can see it being a huge help but in the very beginning... not so much.

4) I encountered an issue where I right clicked a recipe in my inventory and learned it, but at the same time a tutorial pop-up happened and I couldn't read it. It'd be nice to be able to dismiss the recipe pop-up without dismissing the tutorial as well. Or if the recipe pop-up would go away on its own or something.

So far, most of us players have had no trouble with the refrigerator's positioning in the restaurant. The developer, being an architect, designed everything with care, which is why they absolutely deserve to be compensated for their work. I've seen players proudly showcase their restaurant decorations.

Fishing: I’ve been using the WASD keys to fish.

Helpers: Once I understood the mechanics, I restarted the game and found it quite enjoyable.

Recipes: I don’t mind paying for learned recipes; it's a core part of the game. Plus, they do refund your money.

I am sorry my opinion seemed to upset you. The dev may be an architect, but that does not mean that I have to like every decision that he/she makes with design. If the world worked like that, everyone would love every song that every singer sang and every painting that every painter painted and so on. Unfortunately, that is just not the case.

Personally, I would like to move the fridge to somewhere that I would like my kitchen to be. Do I expect that to happen? No. Am I demanding that it happen? No. But perhaps there are others out there who share my opinion and would like the fridge to be movable. If there are enough of us, perhaps it is something the dev(s) will take into consideration. But as far as I am aware, we're all allowed to have and express our own opinions, right?

As far as compensation goes, I am not asking the game to be free. I suspect you meant complimented, and my comment above should cover that. I'm not saying the game is bad. I just don't like where the fridge is.

I haven't fished a whole lot. The first two times I did attempt to fish, however, I used the WASD keys and the arrow shot out of the circle and did not respond to WASD. I then tried the arrow keys and they worked as, what I can only assume to be, intended. I don't know why our experiences have differed and I would very much like to fix the issue on my end if that is the case.

I understand how helpers work just fine. I just don't see the need to force one on the player at the very beginning when the player is trying to earn money. There seems to be plenty of downtime to wait the tables yourself and when you do hire help, you can step in when they get tired. I don't necessarily find the helpers not enjoyable. On the contrary, when your restaurant is larger I see them as being vital to keep your sanity.

I have no idea what your recipe comment is supposed to be commenting on. I didn't even mention buying recipes. I just had a weird overlapping with a recipe learned overlay and a tutorial that I couldn't read because of it.
