Hunting Quest Reward

I just finished the Pomarine's hunt quest and assumed the bow I would get would be some legendary bow... turns out it's just an ancient bow. I got one of these almost a month (in game time) before this quest and ditched it right away, since the bow the Pomarine sells (hunter's recurve) is just better than it. It would be nice if she gave us a more unique reward, since she literally sells a bow that is better than it. Note, I got my first ancient bow from a buried chest.

yeah, I also find it confusing, but if you try the bow she gave you, it actually has a faster arrow speed, it's kind of useful when you hunt the bird. but I also hope the legendary bow could be a reward from somewhere, I search the beach and the cave and the volcano every day for months and I haven't seen it

I tried the Ancient Bow when I first got it from that chest, and it was way weaker than the Hunter's Recurve. It might have been slightly faster, but having to chase animals takes up more time than a little bit of extra draw time. For example, the Recurve could one shot peasants while the Ancient Bow needed two shots and the birds usually flew away faster than I could get the second shot ready... I think I'll just give it to Valentina. Hopefully I can find the legendary bow at some point or the Ancient Bow can get a buff.

Fairly, I developed a pattern in which I equipped two bows and only used the ancient one for the last arrow, maybe just me. I have been searching for the legendary bow for ages, honestly, I'm tired. I hope they increase the chance of getting one

Yaa it seems unless you have the right perks and get really lucky with the rng they might never show up. At least we can redo our perks every few days, so we can set them to hunting and such.
