How to catch fish????

Does anyone see that catching fish in this game is extremely hard? I've already bought the fish rod with 45 power but I can not catch even a fish. Whenever I tried pressing the arrow keyboard the fish ran away immediately

You might just be in an area where the fishing difficulty is too high.

That being said, you can use either WASD or the actual arrow keys to fish:
- Equip the fishing pole and hold LMB to charge the cast and then release.
- Once the fishing bob gets pulled under the surface of the water press LMB again and it will trigger the mini-game.
- Use WASD/arrow keys to push the fish in the direction needed in order for it to remain in the thin white circle that appears until the yellow progress bar fills all the way up.
- Fish is automatically reeled in once the progress bar is filled.

the beach is where some easier fish are. If you are fishing off the dock, your Rod may be not good enough which makes it seem like you cant do anything.
It is designed that way.
Find a pond or go to the beach if you want a chance with the beginner rod.

Good news! I've made it. I changed the fishing spot to the beach, It's a lot easier.

so glad someone else already asked this, the directions were not clear for me, I thought we were using the keys to control the circle.

Will have to try the beach, is it any beach? Or is the one straight down from the restaurant okay for the beginning rod? I've had no luck with fishing either.

You could try the eastside beach, it's easy to fish there

It is possible to fish off the dock early on, I would just recommend reeling toward yourself as, or before, you hook a fish. It is pretty easy to lose fish there though.

Hi! I tried all locations, but it seems I can't figure out how to trigger the fishing minigame. When the fishing bob goes underwater, I click the LMB, and the sound plays, but nothing appears. I tried restoring the game files, and relaunching the game too. I have the starter fishing rod. Do you think I'm doing it wrong?

It sounds like you are doing it correctly. Perhaps a bug then.
You cast the line, wait until the bobber goes underwater and right away press left mouse button and then right away start controlling the direction of the line pull so the fish stays in the circle.
