Extremely bad performance on M1 Mac

I have a Macbook Pro with M1 Pro Chip and 32GB RAM but the game seems to stutter a lot. It feels really really weird since the animations themselves look ok but when the camera is scrolling, it has really weird stutters and makes the game nearly unplayable.
Is there anything I can try to get a better performance? Except using Whiskey / Wine and run the Windows version? With Whiskey the performance is flawless but the text is unreadable sadly. :(

Had the same issue, but was streaming on discord. As soon as I stopped streaming, it wasn't an issue, but as soon as I tried streaming it again, I was getting the exact same issue. Super laggy animation while scrolling.

I didn't run any other programs in the background, except just Chrome with some idle tabs. So no streaming or the like, but still the performance was so bad that I couldn't complete the cooking mini games at all (those that require precise button presses). Had to refund it sadly.

What helps, though is not an optiomal solution for me, is to run the windows version using wine / whiskey on the mac. then I had no performance problems, except long loading times.

You are complaining about a game in EA? Its not a complete game it never claimed to be complete either. All games aren't going to be like a full game in EA. When you chose to buy them you are choosing to play the game in the state it is in. You are taking a risk because what you saw or read interest you. So if you aren't willing to wait for the game patches don't buy the game. There is no guarantee that the games in EA will see the full release either so do your homework and don't buy them if you are wanting a cheaper game that isn't finished.

I totally disagree with you. While it is true, that you never know if the game will get finished or not, I bought my fair share of EA titles and all of them were playable and mostly lacking content. There are many successful EA games like Enshrouded for the example, that sold extremely well and provided a good game.
A game that is unplayable or doesn't even has the basic gameplay implemented shouldn't be sold as EA game. That is just a ripoff. I have no idea how you can even defend this. But it is your money, you can throw it away if you want, your choice.

Hey, friend, we’re here to enjoy and chat about the game. You've got your refund, so if you still have complaints, maybe it’s time to take them elsewhere. Not meaning to sound harsh, but the negativity isn’t welcome. Find a spot better suited to vent if you need to – let’s keep things light here. No offense, but complaining? That’s kid stuff. Well it is nice to see how toxic the community around this game is. I came here to look for help with technical issues but instead of receiving any helpful comment at all, I get bashed for "complaining". The negativity came from you guys, not from me.
Normal people discuss about technical problems. But if this is a non-sense topic for you, I am outta here.

I am not bashing you. It was your choice to return the game for bad performance. But you just need to realize not every EA are the same due to the different developers. So not all games will be or feel like a game with smooth gameplay mechanics. I also have many EA games and not all of them are even in a playable state. Though I am playing on the Steam Deck. So very understandable but also know they will come out with patches to fix the game. So returning a game for terrible optimization to me is not a real excuse to return the game if you like the game description and want to try it. Just give them time to fix the game.
