The suggestion from Lx Studio may help as in most instances you do talk to the dog first. If you've tried this already, I have some other suggestions which may help.
There was a bug which has been patched where having the "tank controls" option enabled would stop statues from moving correctly. To make sure you are on the latest version - in the Steam client, right click on the game in your library, select “Properties” from the dropdown list, then in the “Installed Files” tab select “Verify integrity of game files”.
If you are still seeing the issue in the latest version, could you let me know if you are using "tank controls" or "modern controls" (this is changed in "Settings" > "Controls"). If you are using "tank controls" does changing to "modern controls" resolve the issue?
Following this if you are still seeing issues, are you using a controller or keyboard and are there any other control options you have adjusted? This will help me narrow down the issue.
Thank you
Tom
I tried turning off tank controls and that did the trick. not ideal for mouse and keyboard movement. Turning the tank controls back on didnt seem to cause a permanent break either, its all around the toggle
Yeah, you don't need to keep "modern controls" on forever on the unpatched version, just when you interact with the statue.
I am curious as I believe this patch was supplied to GOG in time for release (it was a patch I created the night before launch after a content creator reported the issue to me).
I am not very familiar with GOG, but if you are in your account is there any new version of the game to download? They may be a few days behind but we are supplying the patches to all stores. New versions will work with the same save file so you won't have any missing progress.
If there isn't a new version available to download please let me know so I can check what is happening here.
Thank you
Tom
