Aquarium Filter Help Wanted
Hi, I'm in the aquarium level, trying to get the filter in the spikes, but can't grab it because of the eye. How can I get the filter?

Am I missing something obvious (i've never played this genre) or do I have a bug?

I've done everything I could figure out in the area. Have the water sample installed, tried everything including shooting the eye with the holy gun (forgot the name), tried speaking to my friend, and the operator, and killed everything dead (except in the forever-respawning gift shop), and searched every nook and cranny for anything I might've missed.

How do I get the filter / destroy / avert the eye?

It took me some time to figure it out during my own first playthrough, but you can progress and explore more by going through the door in the "spike item room" and then in that new room, you can go past the "bug enemies" a bit further down in the room to another door (iirc).

The rest should be no problem after you explored that area there more ;)

And there's an item in the room with the bugs if you take the way up first.

I was sure there must be *something* about that room, and the window, but couldn't figure it out. Did NOT expect that skill to work through the wall, to the point I didn't even try until you pointed me back there again hahaha
