Thanks for asking! At the moment we are only supporting 16:9 aspect ratios. With the fixed camera angles, the wider view may show outside the level bounds during third person gameplay. Also in cutscenes characters might appear in strange positions/poses outside of the original framing for the scene as they could end up in shot when not intended to be.
Other resolution monitors should be displaying the game with black bars at the sides and/or top/bottom depending on their aspect ratio.
When you're mentioning a bit at the bottom cut off, are you missing part of the game view here? If you could share a screenshot that would help me to understand what's happening here, we definitely don't intend that to happen. For ultra-wide screens the game should appear in 16:9 with black bars on either side.
I am keen to understand how we can provide the best experience for players on wider screens to consider for adjustments in the future. If you're happy to answer a few questions that would be appreciated. I can't promise I will be able to implement these, but I am curious about how best to support this with the game.
If we can't support aspect ratios other than 16:9 during the third person sections of the game, would it still be preferable to have a full ultra-wide view when entering first person?
Is it preferable to have a frame on the sides of the screen rather than black bars?
Thank you
Tom
