Does anyone else feel like Shard 7 is a horrible difficulty spike?
The proc-gen with the thorns makes it ridiculously hard. I failed about a dozen runs on that shard alone.

I feel like thorns became harder after one of the recent patches which messed with obstacle collision logic. I used to just take damage when hitting them and keep moving forward, but now they flip me 180 degrees back towards the collapse if I hit them, which is basically a one hit death sentence unless I have really good items.

This. The catchup mechanics in this game are literally nonexistent if some goofy physics ♥♥♥♥ like that happens, so you might as well just dive into a pit to restart faster.


But also, shard 6-7 is around where the game can start spamming dozens of back-to-back tiny pits at you that aren't visible until you're really close to them, for... pretty much an entire fragment. So if you were actually trying to maximize speed rather than going for slow airtime for safety it's pretty brutal.
