The shotgun recoil drives me crazy

i`m trying to use shotgun to solve this parcour section in a cave where the road goes super steep and youy can not just climb over it, but shotgun actually propells you upwards if you shoot correctly. Problem is - id doesnt work at some particular curves of this road and it does in others. I understand i`m probably not even supposed to climb this wall, but i climeb it almost to the top once, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up badly in the end and now i know that its possible and it drives me crazy. I just dont understand the logic between that shotgun phisics. Why does it propell me very high on the first curve and doenst do a slightest shint right at the next one? Why sometimes it works and sometimes genuinely does nothing? This is so irritating
