I have been looking for the traveling merchant for like an hour and I cannot find him, where is he.

Do you have an idea how to find them more or less consistently ? I believe they spawn near télélportation spot or near gas stations but i'm not 100% sure

same thing here, I just found him but I had just spent all my gold, and now that I farmed a little bit it disappeared. This game has so many painful design decisions. Running after this merchant so that I can buy quest items is just boring.

If you go to 'Where All Was Lost" from "Where Iron Caresses The Sky", he's usually very close to the start of the village ahead. If he's not there, just leave and come back over and over till he does. Just tested it so I know it does work.

You can teleport back & forth between Where Iron Caresses The Sky & Where Our Ancestors Rest. They spawn near both of those spots.

Suicide spam at Where Our Ancestors Rest worked out fine for me. He shows up right next to the teleport and you dont have to worry about losing bags either. Saves trips back and forth.
