Mining Rig

Found a miner, deployed a rig, assigned the miner..
and they do nothing. Power is connected to the rig, but there is no production
What have i missed?

Can you send me your save so I can take a look? If it has power and the worker moves to the rig and appears to be operating it, it should be producing the selected ore (although, it takes time for the progress bar to fill up). Keep in mind no progress will be made while the worker is not at the rig (if they are resting, or travelling to/from the rig).

They can't get to the rig, rotate it or dig more space around it. Make sure you select something for it to mine.

If I'm understanding correctly, I need space around the rig clear?

The first time I placed a rig, I had the control panel access against a wall and they couldn't get to it. It had power and everything was fine but they weren't using it. So I had to make sure the access to the control panel was clear by digging a bit.

there is a 'control panel' on the mining, electronics, and cooking stations. These stations have to be accessible in order for the workers to start production. It only has to be a single grid space, so you can always make "catwalks" by spacing your workstations 1 grid apart, then put down a convey belt to link/power them and your workers should still be able to get to the control panel to manage the workstation.
