RhinoBots achievement not working

So, I decided to try and get all the achievements, but for some reason the achievement titled "Beware the RhinoBots!" Isn't counting the RhinoBots i destroy, but it says that I've destroyed 3 before. any idea as to why this is happening?

It's a bugged achievement. If you trigger a big ring bonus stage, it resets the rhino count. You have to destroy them without entering any bonus stages.

@Tanoomba I haven't been entering any big rings, so that can't be it.
I have been trying it in no save mode though, does it have to be all on one save?

All in one run, as far as I know. At east that's how I did it. After I beat the game, I just went back and re-did the first level, getting every Rhinobot I could find without triggering any bonus stages and it ended up unlocking.

I remember getting this one fairly easily, but not without hiccups.
From what I recall, I believe you have to finish the zone in order for the RhinoBots you destroyed in that session to count. Try reaching Hydrocity Zone and see if the counter updates from doing so.
