crashing on startup, nothing works

after i press k and the game loads a little bit, it crashes. i use intel(r) graphics and i set it on high performance, but still nothing works.

if we did for any other sonic game using hedgemodmanager is that what messes up origins? ive tried turning off the redirect save file option and the mod loader but it still won't work

I don't know the specifics, but nearly every time I hear about a Sonic game not starting it ends up being because mods messed something up.

I been having the exact same problem and well I had trouble launching the game yesterday it played fine for the first few minutes I played and then nothing the next day

it happened to me i just restarted the pc and it started working normally
if it doesnt work restart again idfk

People here who are having problems are you using Intel graphics. If so it might be the common factor.

omg yes i do have an intel core i5 10th gen for my laptop, if thats the only reason why i cant play this game that is literally so dumb bro

So, I had this exact problem, and my game worked just fine until my computer did an update, and then it kept crashing after I got the autosave screen.. I just fixed this because I found another forum where the guy said to change the sound output on your system lower than 48000hz. I changed mine from 24-bit to 16-bit and now everything works just fine, and I was able to pick up where I left off in the game. Thought I'd share.
