Something that bugs me about the Digital Deluxe Edition and the "Premium Fun" Pack

Look, I like to have my copies of games be the most complete versions at times, and that includes getting the DLC.

I preordered this game on Switch and Xbox, and was largely fine with it. I soon bought the DDE on PS5, but found out the special background based on the Genesis/MegaDrive wasn't available, and I realized "Oh, right, it was preorder only. Dang."

Except I long after that looked at the chart they showed for what you get from the game, it's DLC, and the DDE.

The Premium Fun Pack is bundled in with the DDE along with the music pack. However, the special background I mentioned? It's included in the Premium Fun Pack but ONLY if you bought it separately from the game itself, meaning the DDE couldn't exactly be considered the best deal as you don't actually get everything in said pack.

I thought at first that it must be a glitch cause it's Sonic Origins, but no.

IT WAS FREAKING INTENTIONAL!!! They intentionally made it so you would have to buy the DLC separately from the game to get everything that's supposed to be in the Premium Fun Pack, but remove it if you buy what is supposed to be the "complete" edition bundle.

SEGA, WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!?!

Disclaimer: I bought 3 versions of the games cause A) I wanted the easy Achievements and to enjoy it portably, and B) I wanted to support potential future endeavors where more classic games get remastered(even if it could end up being as bugged as this, but at least there won't be any more poor attempts at avoiding paying the Michael Jackson Estate and making music that would make the ears of an elephant bleed and then burst into flames).

That is not how DLC works on steam... The DDE is literally a bundle containing: Sonic Origins, the Premium Fun Pack & the Classic Music Pack (as seen here). [steamdb.info] How you get the "Apps" doesn't matter to steam!!! The reason you don't have the Genesis/MegaDrive background is because its not part of The Premium Fun Pack its part of the Start Dash Pack which was a pre-order exclusive. The chart is misleading because both the Premium Fun & the Start Dash Pack offered letterbox backgrounds but they were different backgrounds, the Genesis/MegaDrive is the only background offered by the Start Dash pack whereas the Premium Fun Pack includes all the other backgrounds (except the default obliviously).

Try clicking the link I provided of the image again, dude. It straight up says it's available in the Start Dash Pack, the Premium Fun Pack, but not the DDE which contains the Premium Fun Pack.

Edit: Okay, slightly misread your comment, my bad, but then what's the Letterbox Background that's in the Premium Fun Pack, and why didn't it list it as a separate one on the chart?

IDK apparently it has 10 backgrounds but if you really want to find out which ones you can disable the DLC and see which ones are missing with it off.

Still sucks that I can't get the Genesis/MegaDrive background on my PS5 copy, though.
