Crashing upon startup after "Auto Save" reminder goes.

Simply I need help as when I open the game it starts with SEGA, Sonic Team and basic credits. After a reminder pops up stating about auto-save and corrupt data and you have to click "K" to continue. When I do so the screen fades white looking as if it's loading and every single time I try It crashes. I need to know how to avoid this issue

I do the first 2 main sequences of steps like the high graphics on settings and toward doing that the game still does the exact same. When I'm trying to attempt the 3rd step it requires right clicking on the desktop for a certain option yet for me it doesn't show up.
