Sonic Origins won't launch no matter what I try.
Ever since a few days ago, this has been my issue, and the thing is, everything I try, reinstalling, uninstalling, turning mods off, etc. nothing will work whatsoever. I haven't even been able to launch it from the icon on my desktop or from Steam itself, and for some reason, every time I open it to see if it will work, there are multiple copies of it in my Task Manager. Please help me with this issue.

I tried doing the bottom section cuz that's the issue that I'm having, but it didn't work when I only opened Steam and nothing else. I also had lag issues before the game closed up and wouldn't let me open it, mainly the lag was most prominent on the opening cutscene and the menus where both the video and music were lagging behind, yet still keeping up with one another in sync as they were cutting out every few seconds, which as far as I'm to understand isn't possible. Usually video and music (in terms of really bad lag) are meant to dissociate from one another and move basically independently as they both lag at different speeds and times, but for me, it kept in sync, which is odd.

Does your PC have an NIVIDIA or AMD GPU? (dedicated GPU) if not then the reason for the crash is likely because you're using integrated graphics.

I use NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 Ti

Strange. Your GPU should easily be able to run this. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones but apart from minor in game annoyances I haven't encountered any issues like this. I use the RTX 3090.

I heard Discord running in the background can cause the game to crash so assuming you have that running try disabling it. In fact disable all background applications while you're at it. It probably won't do anything but it doesn't hurt to try.

I am using your same GPU (not ti) and had no lag issues in the game, are you sure your game is using your Nvidia GPU?

Refund it until they fix the game.

I'll wait till they update and patch stuff to launch it and maybe then it'll work

And what if that day never comes?

Remember this any game can only be refunded under these conditions:

Having the game less than 12 days.
Play time less than 2 hours.

If both conditions are met, then people can refund the game.

This implies you had a mod loader. Have you tried fully uninstalling it? Steam won't uninstall it, you need to do it yourself.

Actually, through some updates to the mod loader, it works again, but I am having lag issues still.
