Gameplay slightly blurry. How to fix
As i started playing sonic 1 i realized that the game was unusually blurry is there a fix to this? E.G a specific resolution. Also i see a lot of posts saying the game is unplayably laggy but it's just fine for me...

Thanks

i'm having the same issue too, if you turn on anti-aliasing it's even blurrier but even after you turn it off it's still a bit blurry while the menus are fine

I heard it has to do with being in the right resolution because of multiples

The game uses interpolation on both axes to avoid uneven pixel sizes and shimmering when scrolling. Turning the interpolation off would make the games look worse, not better.

Have you tried different resolutions?

I think what OP means is that there's a softening filter applied to the gameplay. I noticed it almost immediately when I hopped into Sonic 1. As far as I know there's no way to disable it, at least in the settings.

ReShader setting DEhaze , and Clarity . an if you want to use the shapening setting also go for it . but Dehaze , and Clarity will take care of the blur 80% of it

Yeah, it's quite unsettling. Hope it can be fixed!

Sega should've used the normal4x shader

No, it's just that the interpolation here is probably stronger than it really needs to be. I believe Sonic Mania also uses interpolation and it looks fine. Same with the Dracula X collection on PS4.
